Why the weird logo?

Updated: Aug 9, 2021

We know you didn't ask, but we’ll tell you anyway. Here’s four reasons the logo looks like this.

It's about integrating HP into what you do.

The ‘O’ is the person immersed in all the systems and processes you have to run your business. We sometimes don’t appreciate what people have to do to make a system or task work. Taking a human performance perspective helps us think about the human in the system.

It's about working with those who do the job.

Now all those little circles are people. In human performance we want to know how work is actually done, because all the local knowledge and experience people have of doing the task is what makes it work, but can also be the source of risk. Having someone (the ‘O’) look at how work is actually done can help recognise and address issues, supporting people to be successful.

It's about collaboration.

Human performance people never work alone. We just don't like it. Those circles might be the departments and people in your company. Or they are the industry bodies and experts we work alongside. The ‘O’ is the HP expertise that works alongside your expertise in your own speciality. Together we put a human dimension on whatever problem you're trying to solve.

Or it's just a pattern we liked.

It could just be that. Now you come to mention it…
